60 minutes just did the Democratic party a huge favor with its Joe Wilson report last night, as this blog link points out. What was it that John Kerry said last year when asked some relatively mild questions by Good Morning America's Charles Gibson? I think it was something like "they're doing the work of the Republican National Commitee," referring to the questions a remark that was accidentally overheard as Kerry was taking off his mike at the end of the interview. I wonder what Kerry and the democrats will say about this? They will probably campaign to award 60 Minutes an Emmy. AmSpec Blog

Michelle Malkin-Alito nomination.

It is indeed Alito. No disappointment this time. Here is Michelle Malkin's post about the nominee and soon to be Supreme Court Justice.Michelle Malkin

Left vs. Right Dogmas

Here is more from David Brin. The part about rigid to the point of insanity sounds like Ted Kennedy.Left vs. Right Dogmas

Next SCOTUS nominee

All the signs and speculation over the past few days seem to be pointing away from a woman and in the direction of two men-Alito and Luttig. It seems the wishes of Laura Bush and S.D.O'Connor to pick a woman are not going to be met. This is a positive development as the most qualified nominee, regardless of race or gender, should be chosen. I would go with Alito because he is less radio-active than Luttig although apparently not by much. If they are very similiar, the President may as well go with the one more likely to be confirmed.
